Sugar Pine Planting, Volunteers Needed!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
The Sugar Pine Foundation will plant over 350 Sugar Pine seedlings on the “undeveloped lots” (top of Silver Pine, above the locked gates)  area of the Carnelian Woods property on Thursday, May 9, 2024 between 10 am and 2pm (weather permitting).  Volunteers from Carnelian Woods, Agate Bay, and neighboring areas are cordially invited to attend and help plant!
Seedlings, tools, gloves and instructions will be provided. Volunteers should bring lunch, water, sun protection, and dress in layers and closed-toe shoes.
Volunteers can also help the seedlings by watering them over the summer. Seedlings that are watered once a month or more – once a week is the best! – are much more likely to survive and thrive! The seedlings will be marked with stick “frames” when planted for easier identification.
See the Sugar Pine Foundation’s websiteCalendar or Facebook page for more information.
