Why Limited Pool and Hot Tub Hours?
Cost. Carnelian Woods spends almost $100,000 a year (2022/23) just on utilities, a huge part of which is heating and filtering the pool and hot tubs. The water must also be tested daily and treated as needed. Pool usage is dramatically less after Labor Day until Memorial Day. Similarly, until facility usage increases with the ski season, hot tubs would go largely unused in the shoulder season.
