RMC continues to make substantial progress on repairing siding on our units. Here is their update from Friday, November 10, 2023:

Items completed this week:

  • Siding repairs completed up to unit 120.
  • Unit 42 chimney resealed and covered while waiting for permit. More on this below.
  • Painter to begin painting 11/11.
  • Roofer inspected the remaining roofs for a report.

Items scheduled for next week:

  • Continue painting siding walls corner to corner as weather permits. Weather coming in mid-week.
  • Siding crews will pull off after the weekend until weather breaks. RMC will update as we learn more.
  • All areas sealed for incoming weather.
  • Unit 42 chimney/roofing repair: working with the county to pull the permit. Per our conversation on 11/10, they are asking for the underlayment details of which the roof does not have an underlayment. Robbie and roofer will contact the building official on Monday 11/13 to work through this and let everyone know what the county will require. This chimney has been framed and is ready for inspection, then installation siding and pipe.
  • Roofing inspection report coming soon.

Remember that the HOA’s policy covers the exteriors of our buildings which includes siding, roofing, chimney chases, windows, and drywall (but not the paint on the drywall). Any damage inside our units is covered by each homeowner’s policy. If you have damage inside, please make your own arrangements for repairs, except for drywall. And please, do not use your own contractor to make repairs to the exterior of your unit.
