Below is an update from RMC on the progress at Carnelian Woods:
Items completed this week:
- Unit 3 trim repaired and sealed.
- Unit 42 chimney sealed and vent pipe installed (by Don’s team). Final metal roofing will be installed once we have the permit and underlayment to install. Siding was installed and the chimney is water tight and functional. We made the call to have Don’s team install the pipe because the vendor that installed the fireplace would not warranty anything unless he installed it.
- Windows are ordered and paid for. We will provide an ETA once we receive an update.
Items scheduled for next week:
- Complete the remaining painting of siding on upper units, pending good weather.
Other items:
- RMC is expecting roofing samples soon. These will be provided to the client for selection. The existing metal roofing cannot be seamed back together, since we do not know the manufacturer. The seaming machine is exclusive to the manufacturer. RMC is sourcing an alternative roofing material to present for approval. This work will take place in the spring, or when the weather is appropriate to install.
